Joshua P. Pang (“JP”)
Josh (or “JP”) is a senior trial attorney at Gruenberg Law. He exclusively represents employees who are victims of unlawful discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation.
As lead trial attorney, Josh recently obtained a $1.1 million jury verdict for a janitor who was “laid off” after she took sick leave to treat her ailing shoulder. To date, it is the largest employment jury verdict in San Diego County this year (2019).
Josh’s other recent notable cases include: a $1 million settlement on behalf of a sexual harassment victim; a $650,000 equal pay settlement; and a $2.7 million sexual harassment settlement.
Before joining Gruenberg Law, Josh served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John A. Houston of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California. He also worked for the L.A. County Office of Independent Review, where he labored to safeguard individual rights by monitoring and providing oversight in police misconduct and excessive force cases.
Josh obtained his B.A. from California State University, Fullerton where he obtained a double-major while competing nationally for the university’s policy debate team, winning multiple team and individual awards. He then received his J.D. from University of San Diego School of Law. Josh was Articles Editor of the USD Journal of Climate Energy Law. He was also Community Relations Chair of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.
He has spoken on event panels at both his alma maters, Cal State Fullerton and USD.
